In order to cope with the influence of the rainstorm actively, and make sure the Group property is free of loss, the Safety and Environment Committee of the Group held emergency special meeting of “fight against ‘Fitow’, seek security” on the morning of October 7 and immediately started flood control emergency contingency plans, implemented the opening of all drainage pump in the plant and deployed all stand-by immersible pumps to drain the flood. Deployed company shuttle bus to be the flood rescue bus so as to timely dispatch emergency supplies. Till noon, as the rain continued, the underground water level in the plant rose, and the Safety and Environment Committee of the Group rapidly arranged cars and personnel to purchase flood control pumps nearby to put into use in order to increase flood intensity.

Due to large rainfall and long duration, parts of the north plant area had large amount of water accumulation. The Safety and Environment Committee of the Group rapidly deployed flood rescue emergency supplies and dredged dam. After several hours of relentless fighting, a long dam was built up to guarantee the property safety of north plant area. After the dam was built, the Safety and Environment Committee of the Group called all subsidiaries comprehensive department responsible persons, security specialist to hold an emergency meeting, arranging night shift staff to be on duty for flood rescue. The relative person in charge of Safety and Environment Committee of the Group made himself an example to be on night duty, and went to the spot to command uniformly.  

On October 8, rainstorm was changed to moderate rain, but all surrounding villages and units drained flood to the canal, leading to that the water level of canal was above the ground level of the plant, and some parts of the plant were suffered water percolation. Although the flood control pump drained outside, the water level of the plant did not fall obviously; the flood recue situation was still not optimistic. The Safety and Environment Committee of the Group arranged to purchase two trucks of sand bag to heighten the dams, fill the leakage areas; on the other hand, it arranged to purchase several flood control pumps to increase flood intensity. 

With the joint effort of the Safety and Environment Committee of the Group and all units, as of the noon of October 10, the ground water level of the Group plant dropped dramatically. Due to decisive decision, timely and right response, the Group production was not influenced generally, surviving this strong typhoon smoothly.
